Mommy Days

So it's been awhile, a bit has changed. I am NOT pregnant any more (I didn't realize how yucky I was starting to feel until I wasn't pregnant anymore!!) and we have a wonderful little darling girl peeing and pooping and sleeping around the clock at our house!  We're all doing good!  Mommyhood has taken a little getting used to, my mama has been around alot trying to "wean" me into it I guess. Today is our first real day just me and Nola.  Big plans: lay around, finish up some laundrey, pay some bills, lay around some more, nurse, nurse, nurse! :)  Just thought I'd try to keep the blog up to date.  BTW...Nola has her very own website so you can see and read all about her!! Enjoy!

  Just wanted to post some updates on the nursery, We're making some good progress. If ol' Nola Faye came tonight, she'd have a place to call her own.  Still have to do some decorating and final touches.  We've got the crib up and working on the changing table today. I'll put pictures up of the finished product soon. :)

Updates

So according to most people that I see, I am officially HUGE! how nice! i don't mind, atleast most of it is just belly..so I'm taking it as a compliment. :)  The docs say things are good, just measuring a little ahead so they've scheduled an ultrasound for 36 weeks (in another couple weeks) to just check and see just how big she might be.  I guess they'll decide some things from there. I would love for her to not be too big to deliver, I'd really rather not have a C-section. So please pray! Of course, whatever needs to happen to keep Nola Faye safe is what I want but I've just always wanted to be able to deliver a baby. Anyway...


Well....the nursery is painted. My wonderful husband spent all last weekend painting his heart out. When he showed me, I cried. Surprise huh? It's just beautiful!!!  We've got to clean the carpets and then decorate, decorate, decorate. I'll post pics soon, when there's actually something to take a picture of!                                                                                                                                                                                


 We're pretty busy for the next few weeks, like we're squeezing in all this stuff before Nola Faye makes her appearance.  We're off to Caswell, Camping and then 2 more baby showers.  Also we've got some massages sceduled, Buie gave me a gift card for a pre-natal massage, so it's now or never!

Big Week for Baby

So all in one week we have our Birthing Class, a doctor's appointment (including the dreaded sugar test-pass ____ or fail ____), and a 3D/4D Ultrasound.  Not to mention working on the nursery which means working on and reorganizing the den.  All of the stuff from the current "guest room" has to be moved and squeezed into a 12x12 room that's pretty much already full.  This one room will be a computer/workout/craft/sitting room.  Sounds pretty easy huh? :) My mama is on Spring Break this week so I'm enlisting her help and my super friend Lizzy may come down and help some too.  The only bad thing is we can't do but so much to the actual nursery because it has to serve as a guest room one more weekend because we have visitors coming in for a church event. Whoa! Anyway.  We are however pretty stoked about the 3D Ultrasound.  I'll post pics and stuff as soon as I can. We're even getting the DVD of it so we can watch it anytime. CAN NOT WAIT to see what my little Nola Faye looks like!  Check back for updates!
